THE CONRAD SPIRIT OF INNOVATION CHALLENGE

The Conrad Spirit of Innovation Challenge was founded by Nancy Conrad in honour of her late husband, Astronaut, Innovator, and Entrepreneur, Charles ‘Pete’ Conrad Jr. The Conrad Challenge is an annual, multi-phase innovation and entrepreneurial competition that brings together a dynamic community of innovators and entrepreneurs driving a collaborative movement to develop extraordinary and viable solutions to benefit our world in one of four areas:

  • Aerospace and Aviation

  • Cyber Technology and Security

  • Energy and Environment

  • Health and Nutrition

CHALLENGE CATEGORIES

Participants work together in teams of 2-5 members to develop solutions to some of the world’s most complex problems in one of four categories: Aerospace and Aviation, Energy and Environment, Cyber Technology and Security, and Health and Nutrition.  Click here to view full descriptions.

PRIZES & AWARDS

  • Semi-Finalist teams compete for the opportunity to present their product/service during the Innovation Summit at the Kennedy Space Center!

  • Be invited to the 2018 Innovation Summit to be held at at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex in Florida.

  • Winning teams will receive trophies to mark their achievements and be presented with mentoring opportunities.

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

  • The Conrad Challenge participants must be high school students Years 9 – 12.

  • For more information, read the 2016-2017 Conrad Challenge Handbook. Information on the 2017-2018 Challenge will be announced late summer/early fall.
